does anyone know where i could download drivers for Toshiba satellite a50? i had just upgraded my hdd for my toshiba satellite a50. my old hdd gave up so i bought a new one. i now need to re-install all drivers needed. no problem re-installing xp. but i can't find my cd drivers for my notebook. http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/cgi-bin/ToshibaCSG/download_drivers_bios.jsp this is the official link of toshiba i found for downloading drivers. i don't know why but i can't find my notebook model. it only shows a100 models and up. my toshiba notebook is about 4yrs old. but it shouldn't matter. toshiba should still provide drivers even for older notebooks. does anyone know where i could download drivers for my notebook? preferably free sites (where i don't have to sign up for a membership). i'm not really that comfortable giving my personal info (credit card #, full name, address, etc) on websites i don't completely trust. help please?? i would really appreciate any help. tia. ps: some of you might wonder why i'm still using my old notebook. like why not buy a new one. as much as i want to, i don't really think that's great idea. i'm not going to use it for games, video editing, or anything that requires a lot of juice. all that hard earned money on a new notebook will just go to waste. i'm just using my notebook for office work, surfing the net, watching dvds, basically just simple stuff . i have a desktop anyway that i use for more serious computer activities. @ AJ thanks dude!! awesome! i should have checked the other tabs. i feel like i'm stupid or something.. =) well in my defense, i just did what most people would do (selecting notebook as product type). anyway, thanks dude! you were of great help! =) peace!

I can find drivers for NVIDIA GeForce 7 series, but that's not compatible with my notebook, I've already tried those. Does anyone know where I can download those drivers from? The NVIDIA website doesn't offer drivers for the GeForce Go series... Really helpful of them...

Toshiba laptop bluetooth driver? Hello, I Purchased a notebook on September 2009. The Details Have given Below Note Book:- Toshiba Satellite L510-401(T6500,3GB 320WD,14") Model No: PSLF8G-00Q004 Serial No: 89184878Q. Operating System: Windows XP Home Basic(Genuine)-Purchased separately The problem I am having at the moment is that I cannot access Bluetooth. When I try to access bluetooth by going to Programs/Toshiba/Bluetooth Settings, a window pops up which says "Installing Bluetooth Driver, Please wait". Then I hear a warning sound and it gets stuck. I waited for hours but in vain. I contacted the shop where I purchased this and they said to go to www.toshiba.in , download drivers and install it. I tried it but nothing changed. When I checked using a bench mark software it doesn't show any bluetooth hardware present in the system. I could not see any bluetooth icon in the control panel as well. Can anyone please tell me whether bluetooth is present in my system and how to use it?

Only for those familiar with Toshiba Satellite Pro P200? This built-in Chicony webcam is slowly driving me demented. Sometimes it works (not since last week though). Usually I get a message saying it is locked by another application - or it doesn't exist. Now I can't even view friends' webcams. The cam opens on my screen and looks perfect but no one can see me! When I try to view a friends' cam, I am told that it's not connected. Now I checked my Device manager and it's not even installed anymore - just gone! I did download the recommended driver from Toshiba Europe (camsoft-2007081.......), unzipped it, ran it, rebooted but seemingly my notebook cannot detect the webcam - even though it flashes a blue light! Please . . . take me out of my misery SOMEONE! Thank you, merci, gratias, go raibh míle, etc., etc. P.S: Please don't answer this unless you really know what you're talking about - thanks

Sound driver trouble? I need to know where i can download the sound drivers for my Toshiba Tecra M2 notebook, HASLE FREE, no sign ups or nothin, cos i don't need them
So, my laptop has about 37 GB of space total...and I need to free some of that up...? I keep all the programs I download/use, mp3's, etc. in one folder, and it's all roughly 10 GB of files. Now, i've tried removing programs (via Control Panel) to free space, but I can't do much, because i'm not sure which programs are needed for Windows (drivers, etc.) and which aren't...so i'm hoping there's someone here that's aware of that sort of thing. It's a Toshiba notebook(laptop), the programs listed are as follows: Adobe Flash Player Plugin Apple Software Update ArcSoft Software Suite AT&T Connection Services Manager Atheros Client Utility Atheros Wireless LAN MiniPCI card Driver ATI - Software Uninstall Utility ATI Control Panel ATI Display Driver CD/DVD Drive Acoustic Silencer DNA DVD-RAM Driver InterVideo WinDVD for TOSHIBA Logitech Setpoint Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 Service Pack 1 Microsoft .NET Framework 3.0 Microsoft Compression Client Pack 1.0 for Windows XP Microsoft User-Mode Driver Framework Feature Pack 1.0 Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable MSXML 4.0 SP2 Notebook Maximizer REALTEK Gigabit and Fast Ethernet NIC Driver Sonic DLA Synaptics Pointing Device Driver TOSHIBA Assist TOSHIBA PC Diagnostic Tool Toshiba Q4 Retail Demo ScreenSaver Toshiba Registration Toshiba Software Upgrades TOSHIBA Speech System Applications Toshiba Tbiosdrv Driver Toshiba Touchpad Utility Toshiba Utility TOSHIBA Zooming Utility Touch and Launch Viewpoint Media Player Windows XP Service Pack 3
Wireless notebook/laptop problem? I've reformatted my Toshiba L300 PSLB1E-00S015EN, it's now Vista x32, and now I can't connect to the internet, It can't find any networks. In the device manager under network adapters is "Realtek RTL8102E Family PCI-E Fast Ethernet NIC (NDIS 6.0)", but i believe that's the ethernet port, not the wireless adapter. There's also an "unknown device" and I think that's the wireless adapter. The problem is I have no idea how to get it working, as I can't download drivers for it if i don't know what it is! Any help would be greatly appreciated, I'm completely stumped and need my internet back

How do I get a driver? I recently switched to XP from Vista on my Toshiba Satellite A135-S4656. I have looked online for about an hour to get the drivers so I can access the internet and download some driver finder program on my notebook, but I can not find any of the proper drivers needed. I only found out that Toshiba does not provide the drivers for such a downgrade. Does anyone know how to get these drivers? I have no idea where to go or hoe to install it, for example, does it need to be extracted, where do I put the file, and how do I get it so that I may transfer it from a thumb drive I have no idea where to go or how to install it, for example, does it need to be extracted, where do I put the file, and how do I get it so that I may transfer it from a thumb drive
Laptop Computer Screen Flashing White? I have a Toshiba Satellite Notebook. When I have my desktop open or when I am playing full screen movies in media player, my screen flashes white/blank. Sometimes it will stay blank for several seconds. This doesn't happen when I have other applications like Internet Explorer or MS Word open or when I am watching a movie on the small screen. I have downloaded all of the new drivers from Toshiba with no results. If anyone has any suggestions, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!
How do I correctly update my 512MB NVIDIA Geforce Go 7900 GS? The thing is, I want to update my NVIDIA and downloaded this driver from the following link: http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp_2k_mobile_84.63.html I have a Toshiba Satellite P-100 Laptop/Notebook and wondering if it is compatible with it or only the ones listed in the link I tried installing it but it says that the setup program cannot detect any drivers compatible with my current hardware. I am wondering does this mean that I cannot update my card or do I have to do it the way it says on their site, which is uninstalling the display drivers via control panel then installing this one. I don't want to do that in case the same thing happens and thus my card is screwed unless I can roll back the driver but I am not sure if that will work since the drivers were uninstalled. Please let me know as soon as possible thanks.
The Sims 2 is not working properly - Computer Problem? I have a Toshiba Satellite with Windows Vista Home Premium and The Sims has a big glitch which I think is a problem with my laptop, not the game. People's heads keep disappearing and there body ends up stretched out blocking my view somewhere near them, all blurry. A lot of times it is even worse. People's body's are stretched out blocking the whole screen. It has been going on since I got the game. If I put my mouse over an object it clears the view of that object, but the second I move the screen it gets all blurry over the object again. I do have the latest video (display) drivers for my notebook from Toshiba, but I cannot get DirectX 10. It just will not download properly. However, I might already have it. I also have a lot of patches for the Sims, and I looked at the other ones which says that it will not fix what I want it to fix. That also means that I think that it's a problem with the game. Is there anything that I can download or do to fix this problem? Yes - I do have custom Content, but it started well before I got it. My laptop's model is A215-S7422. I only have one thing of custom content, which is a Ford Hybrid. I don't plan to get anymore, and also I got Apartment Life which seems to be working fine even though it says "NO" (except for the problem that this whole question is about). Also, I have a friend with an even worse computer with an even worse graphics card, but the Sims on his computer seems to be working fine, plus he has a lot of Custom Content. I don't think that the yes, maybe, or no things really make a difference, but once I get my desktop working a will try it on there. If it doesn't work, it's probably a problem with the game, not the computer.

Could you please tell me where(give also the website address if possible) and which M200 drivers to download.i need a step by step guide to download them as i am computer illiterate.thank you, professionals.
Operating System issue? working on a friends notebook. It has several issues with the sound when she logs in. I've logged in with an account I created for myself and the administrator and can hear sound, although very, very low, I can hear it, but not with her account. I can't seem to connect to a symantec site so I can download anti virus definition files because it's telling me that I don't have the privileges to start the services......many problems, but the one thing I didn't notice was that it has Windows XP Media Center, and I've used Media Center a few times on other peoples PC and they hated it, and asked me to remove it. I've been on to the manufacturer's site (Toshiba) and downloaded the sound card drivers, but when I hit the exe file it does nothing,,,but on their site they don't have XP media center edition, only windows xp Is media center edition O/S that much different that I can't install things while being an administrator? yep that's what I did so far (cajun),,I logged in with her account which is as administrator account, created myself an account with admin privileges, logged in and still was getting denied the AntiVirus install because of insufficient privileges, logged in with the administrator account and get the same thing, but I hear sound, but very, very, very low. All buttons are maxed out, tried reinstalling the sound drivers, and hit the exe file from the website, and it does nothing,,,,,still working on it,,,

ubuntu strangeness? I'm having trouble with ubuntu 8.04. I installed the 8.04.16 kernel from CD and my wireless didn't work. i have a new toshiba notebook with an atheros wireless chip. Well I booted back into windows, did some homework, and downloaded the madwifi driver pack and installed it. the wireless began to work. Then i used the synaptic and downloaded all applicable updates, which included a kernel update to 8.04.19. When I boot into 19, the wireless doesn't work but when I boot into 16 it works fine. Wtf. Also i got Cheese for my webcam, and any video I record it won't let me play. It says "invalid argument." Any ideas?

I have Hamsterball on here and it won't open for anything! I checked DirectX Diagnostic and there's only a problem with Direct3D 9+ being unavail because the display driver doesn't support it. Even with SP2, the display had the error. I installed what my computer says it has. I downloaded other display adapters but they won't load as an option nor could I find the "right files" for any adapter I downloaded. I don't know really what that means. I don't really know which to pick from the website you put here. = / I've had this laoptop for a few years and never have I noticed the S3 Graphics as the display driver. I think it could possibly be ATI or VIA something, I don't remember because it's been too long since I had problem like this. My computer isn't the same after I reformatted it.? I recently reformatted my computer (put the boot CD in and erased everything).... well, something must have been erased regarding my graphics card driver or something because I cannot run the same games and software that I have had in the past. For example, one of the software I use is a home remodeling program. It worked fast and smooth before, now it's just slow and choppy. I even tried downloading a graphics card driver, but it would quit during setup. I have a Toshiba Satellite notebook that is about 4 years old, maybe 5. If there are any suggestions, please help! Umm... after the reformatting, I haven't done anything... so... no I guess... Oh, also, I can't hook up a secondary monitor I tried going to Toshiba's website, and found some driver's, but I don't think they were the right ones. (yes I have XP) My notebook is a Toshiba Satellite A105-s4094
No wireless network driver present? Also, my network key is 8 characters whereas the WEP that it only accepts are 5 and 13 characters or something like that.I recently downloaded a wireless client manager for my laptop and it suggests that there it detects a wireless card but no wireless network card driver. My laptop (more correctly notebook) is a toshiba satellite pro 6000 the network card is 'Toshiba Wireless LAN mini PCI card' it is already installed but the problem is it just wont connect to my router. Please can you help me out, i am losing all hope i have searched the web for about two weeks now and no luck, someone put me out of my misery!
Wireless card seems to have died. Help? Yesterday, I purchased an Asus G60 Republic of Gamers notebook from Best Buy. The laptop runs Windows 7 Home Premium and has a built-in Intel WiFi Link 5100 Wireless-N wireless card. Today, when I turned the laptop on, the wireless card did not pick up any wireless networks. I tried scanning for them with my old laptop (Toshiba Satellite L-Series), and it found plenty. When I ran Network Diagnostics to try to remedy the problem, it told me to "turn on wireless capability" by either flipping the switch on the front of the notebook or using the function keys. I tried both to no avail. After this, I tried a System Restore. Yet again, no effect was noticed. I then uninstalled the driver and downloaded and installed the latest driver from Intel's website. Still, nothing happened. Can anyone tell me what I need to do to try to remedy this problem?

Crazy Screen Colors, Overheating, And Bears, Oh My? A friend gave me his Toshiba Satellite A55-S3061 Notebook. He said he thought it was overheating and shutting itself down. “Great!” I thought “A free laptop! I'll just go into the BIOS and change the fan settings, and if that doesn't work I'll just snag one of those 30 dollar cooling pads and I'll be set.” So I change the setting and it worked great in my 68*f air conditioned home. Then I tried using it in the eighty degree car and it work for a while. After about a half hour parts of the screen began to fade white and then they began to turn red. Then the rest the screen turned black. It was like watch a really cool cosmic gas screen saver (I already check it's not a screen saver). I could tell it was still running because the music we were listening to never stopped. Back at home I plugged in the AC adapter and and it was up and running... for fifteen minutes. The same thing keeps at random times. I downloaded speedfan last night and it died at 38*c. I know that he was into it before, so maybe a loose cable was geeks squads suggestion (personally I don't think so, they also suggested I pay more then the thing is worth to send it off to be fixed). I also don't know what version of BIOS he has on there. If you have an idea please me know. At this stage I not sure whether it's display, overheating, a loose connection, a bad driver or what.

So, I have a Toshiba notebook...and my brother stupidly uninstalled the sound driver/device thingy..? Something like 'Conexant Ac-link Audio' or somethin...any idea where I could re-download/install it?? I can't play any sound without it! Now, I asked this before, but I find newly posted questions get answers more often. Now, I *tried* looking up the thing online, but the installer (after attempting to install it) just reads 'FAILURE'... Also, could I not just get a different one besides the Conexant thing? So...just restart then? What on earth does 'Plug and Pray' mean? Also, I have Windows XP...Home edition, I think.
